Q. How did Truth On Earth get started?
A. Ever since we were little we were always singing, dancing and performing to raise money for various causes, doing whatever we could to do our part. As we got older we wanted to take things up a notch, so we decided to start the band to connect with people to bring the awareness and solutions that our world needs to get in better shape so future generations will have a planet worth inheriting.

Q. How did you get the name Truth On Earth?
A. Well…we sing about “truths” and we love our “earth”. “On” is just the middle man! Really, we believe that Mohandas Gandhi was possibly the greatest spiritual leader to ever walk on this earth. He believed that peace could best be achieved through truth and non-violent protest. And he proved his concept to a major extent. So, we are carrying on Gandhi’s mission with our music.

Q. What types of charities benefit from your music?
A. We have hooked up with several established organizations that are already helping communities and people who are affected by some of the challenges that we sing about such as child abuse, and hunger for example.

Q. How long have you been working on your songs?
A. We’ve been writing these songs for a couple of years. When we saw how much success “Idol Gives Back” had, it was a huge inspiration for us to move forward on our mission to get everyone on earth on a path of healing, instead of destruction.

Q. What has inspired you to travel around and spread your message?
A. It’s no secret that the world has a lot of very serious problems resulting in horrible tragedies to people and animals. We want to be a part of making a difference by raising awareness about the problems through our songs and helping to bring sustainable solutions. We don’t think there is any time to waste. We all have to do our part now. We’re not alone in our belief that the earth can’t take much more of the abuse it’s taking, before it totally falls apart.

Q. What message do you want the world to get from listening to your music?
A. We want more people to come together to work on sustainable solutions to the major problems so that the planet can get on track and make Earth worth inheriting for future generations. There are so many people needlessly suffering and dying today. If everyone who cared was better organized and more unified towards the common good, the problems would get fixed and the planet would develop a sustainable and very positive future. The planet can’t survive much longer with all the destructive things happening to it. We have lists on our website that point out some things you can do in order to get in motion making a difference.

Q. Why now?
A. The world is self-destructing and if change doesn’t happen now, then there won’t be a planet worth inheriting for future generations.

Q. Who writes your music?
A. The three of us write our songs together and we get a lot of guidance from our Dad on structure and help on production.

Q. These are pretty heavy issues for young people to be thinking about. How do you get inspired to write about these topics?
A. We get motivated by seeing what terrible things all living creatures are going through, and our desire to get on the front line and make it stop. Knowing a lot of facts about the issues in our songs helps write the heavy lyrics. The more we thought about the terrible realities of this world, the more it made us realize that we needed to get into action and help any way we can.

Q. What other artists have inspired you?
A. A lot of 60’s and 70’s progressive and classic rock with an influence in R & B, Pop, Blues, Folk and Southern Rock. Here are just some of the artists and bands we draw from - Jonny Lang, Jethro Tull, Eric Clapton, Jack Johnson, Seal, Mark Knopfler, Jason Mraz, Melissa Etheridge, Janis Joplin, Tracy Chapman, the Beatles, Sly and the Family Stone, The Turtles, Three Dog Night, Queen, Aerosmith, Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Traveling Wilburys, John Mayer, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Alvin Lee, Temptations.

Q. Have you been trained vocally?
A. We have had a few lessons along the way but eventually we could definitely get some more training.

Q. What other venues have you performed at?
A. We have performed at a lot of charity events, folk fests, small local concerts, and a few parties. We’re your typical aspiring artists.

Q. Have you tried out for American Idol? If not, how come?
A. American Idol is an amazing opportunity for people who have tremendous diverse vocal ability and it is one of our favorite shows to watch. But as artists, our strength comes from our unique brand of original material and sticking together to fight for our cause.

Q. Do you get along?
A. Yes. We are not only sisters, we are best friends.

Q. Do you like traveling in an RV?
A. It has turned us into adventurers so that part of it is fun when we go to new places and see new things. At the same time, it's quite eye opening to see the serious challenges that many people are struggling so much with everyday right here in America.

Q. How long have you been on the road?
A. On and off for the past 6 months.

Q. Where did you grow up?
A. Chicago area.

Q. How big of a role does God play in your mission?
A. God is a big part of our lives in terms of our spiritual strength and development. We feel that we have been very blessed to live the life that we have, and we feel it is critical that we give back by bringing solutions to many of the world’s problems. We feel that we were put on the planet for this purpose.
